SO THAT NOTHING BAD IS REPEATED

So that nothing bad is repeated is a plea to all of us. In deeply moving interviews with witnesses who experienced the atrocities of the escape and expulsion of more than 14 Million people from Eastern Europe to Germany after World War II, our international student film team draws parallels with the current refugee situation.

This documentary was produced in Berlin, as part of our “Refugees – then and now” project, in which 21 students from Germany, Poland and Ukraine met in each of the three countries for a week-long film workshop producing a collection of six documentary films.

The project was financed by the German Foreign Ministry. It is a collaboration with the Goethe-Institut and the German Youth for Understanding Committee.
